#1 ABOUT ME

I was born and raised in the Snoqualmie Valley and graduated from Mount Si High School. After graduation, I joined the U.S. Army and serve as an Airborne soldier on non-deployable status while I pursue a degree and career as an officer, studying Health and Fitness at Northwest University. After commissioning as an officer, I plan on branching Infantry and pursuing a career in the military. In high school, I worked as a Lifeguard, Swim Instructor and Water Aerobics coach for three years at Si View Metro Parks in North Bend. I am a Level 1 CrossFit  coach at Sasquatch CrossFit in Redmond, WA.. I enjoy hiking, fishing, hunting, kayaking and anything and everything that has to do with the outdoors.

In regards to technology, I feel relatively comfortable navigating and adapting to new technologies. I prefer using a "hands on" learning approach when introduced to new programming and find that I can be very flexible with new and progressive methods. I do no feel threatened by the use of technology in a classroom and look forward to refining the skills necessary to efficiently utilize technology as a tool in education. The only aspect that makes me nervous with technology is the potential of having to compete against a program for student attention, knowing that at different ages this can be a very difficult task.
